Otherwise known as Queeva is our first Sphynx at Nobilero. Friends of mine through breeding and showing our Devon Rex, Jan Plumb and Angela Rushbrook, imported the first Sphynx into the UK in the mid 80's, but they could not gain recognition from the GCCF until last year due to reputable, responsible people persisting with canvessing the GCCF and getting this fab breed recognised.
Caoimhe is a Tortie Tabby little girl who has already gained her first Merit on Saturday 12th January 2007 from Pam Wilding, a very well respected owner and judge of Sphynx cats at the age of 14 weeks and 6 days. She was an absolute star and purred the whole day long.
Caoimhe gained her second Merit award on Saturday 5th April at the Kernow Show under Mrs. Kalal. Again she was a bit of a star with lots of admirers and was placed in all her side classes. She will not be shown now until she is an adult in July. We then plan to have an Echocardiogram to certify that she is currently not suffering with HCM, and then she is off to visit Val in Plymouth for mating with her imported blue boy - well that is the current plan anyway!!
As with the Devons, Caoimhe has been tested for Blood group and colour.
AB Blood Group results for CHICHI CAOIMHE NANOBILERO:
N/N - Cat is Type A
Feline Coat Color Results for CHICHI CAOIMHE NANOBILERO:
Agouti Result:
A/A - All offspring will have agouti banded hair.
Colorpoint Restriction Result:
C/C - Full color, cat does not carry Burmese (sepia) or Siamese alleles
Brown Result:
B/B - Full color, cat does not carry brown or cinnamon
Dilute Result:
D/D - Full color. Cat does not have the dilute allele.
So, with this little girl, what you see is what you get - no hidden colours.
I dont have many links on this site, but this one is a must. Sue bred my Caoimhe and is one of the foremost breeders of healthy typy Sphynx in the UK. Here is a link to her web site.
