DEVON REX AND SPHYNX CATS

DEVILISH DEVON REX AND SPECTACULAR SPHYNX CATS AND KITTENS

About us and our cats

My sister, Elaine, and I began breeding Devon Rex in 1984 after I had started showing and breeding Siamese in 1981.  At a cat show in Birmingham we saw our first Devon and were allowed to handle a Brown tabby kitten.  We then saw the very famous Grand Champion Tukaboi Jolly Jester and decided that these funny looking gremlins were the ones for us.  Some time after that I travelled to Newcastle to collect Gancanny Tappy Lappy - our Lulu.

Lulu gave us a fabulous one off litter which produced Grand Champion Nobilero Cable Seadreamer - our Larry.  In the same litter was Champion Nobilero Hartcoal Seasauce - our Sally.

Larry sired some fabulous cats, but it was his sister who produced my best ever show type Devon Rex to date.

Sally was the mother of United Kingdom Grand Champion Nobilero Loric Vilesilensa - Rory and in the same litter Champion Nobilero Berek Heartthew - our Sonny.

Rory lived his life with Marius and Trevor Reed who loved and adored him always, along with his brother Merlin.  Rory was unbeaten at the Supreme show, he alway won Best of Breed and once went Best of Variety.

Sonny had a much less illustrious show career, but he was much more successful as a Stud boy and produced some fabulous kittens.  He was the best natured, gentlecat and died far too early at the age of 8.  I still miss feeling him sleeping on my hip as he did almost every night.
